Alchemy Factory 50-Day, Architect & No-Sales Runs
The three conditions
A January 2026 Reddit post that documented a combined run put it plainly: “There’s only 3 Steam Achievements that require a special condition when clearing the game.” Clearing the game means the final main quest, turning in a Sol, which the Steam thread on the 50-day run confirms: “To get the 50 day you have to do the final quest to turn in a Sol.”
| Achievement | Condition | Global rate |
|---|---|---|
| Born with the Talent | Complete the game within 50 days | 0.7% |
| The Architect | Complete the game without buying any land | 0.6% |
| Don’t bother me! | Complete the game without selling any goods to customers | 0.7% |
Because all three are checked at the same event, one run can take two or all three.
The Architect: no land, tutorial included
The tutorial’s first task is to buy a plot, so the run has to skip the tutorial. From the Steam thread: “You have to skip the tutorial and buy zero plots and build a tower for room to build for the architect.” The Reddit run-through adds the useful discovery: the starter tile is 3 x 4, so the early game is about the level 2 Workbench upgrade for walls and multiple floors, and “after you’re above the neighboring houses you can expand for a WIDE 6th floor” because nothing blocks you at that height.
Building upward means the structural support rules matter from day one; see floors, walls and lifts.
Don’t bother me!: no shop sales
Income has to come from the other three sources: mailbox quests (random 130%, bulk 160%, urgent 200% of market price), dispatch contracts, and minting. A reply on the 50-day thread pairs this with the speed run on purpose: “I think one key to success will be to also go for the zero selling to customers and horde all your resources for progression, random quests, and urgent requests. I was surprised how easy some of the urgent requests are to fulfill when not selling to customers. You save time too since you don’t have to get the customers money.”
Not selling also removes the reason to unlock everything in every tier, which in the old Reputation system was mandatory to keep customers happy. Unlock only what the next quest needs.
Born with the Talent: 50 days
Advice from the same thread and a February 2026 video on the run:
- Plan from a finished save. “Open up your late game save where you learned how to do everything and make blueprints for everything in your plan.” Sandbox Mode exists for exactly this.
- Skip the shop. “Since you aren’t supplying the shop you don’t need to make the full build for most items.”
- The early quests are fast. One player submitted 100 Healing Potions by day 3 with no blueprints; another says day 2 is possible with optimisation. The same player cleared both carpenter requests and the first two random requests by then.
- Leave everything you do not need unmade until a quest asks for it.
The hard part is the relics: the original poster of the thread expected 100 transformation potions by day 10 but called combining the relics “wayyy harder.” The relics page lists the chain behind each one.
A note on the counters
Year after Year (365 in-game days, 3.1%) is the opposite kind of run and is not compatible with the 50-day achievement in one save. Level 100 Club (2.9%) and Alchemy Master (finish all main quests, 2.8%) are the ordinary long-run goals and happen on the way to Sol.
